This course was developed and certified in a cooperation of LVR-Klinikum Düsseldorf, Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf, WHO Collaborating Centre for Quality Assurance and Empowerment in Mental Health and World Psychiatric Association Section on Quality Assurance.
Quality Management Series:
This course is the first in the Quality Management Series. This series is an educational opportunity designed for all health professionals, especially for psychiatrists and psychologists and any learner interested in the field of Quality Management in Mental Health and Care that can contribute to Quality implementation, improvement and assurance in their institution.
The series aims to:
- gain an understanding of Quality Management in Mental Health & Care
- provide a toolkit for developing skills useful in psychiatric care and research practice in psychiatry
- provide practical guidance for the implementation of Quality in Mental Health and Care at local, national and international levels
- contribute to the continuing improvement and promotion of Quality Management in Mental Health & Care
This course is the first of 6 thematic chapters. The Quality Management Series will cover:
Module 1: How to define Quality in Mental Health & Care?
Module 2: Why Quality Management?
Module 3: Goals and Standards of Quality Management
Module 4: How to conceptualize Quality Management?
Module 5: The Toolbox of Quality Management
Module 6: How to create successful Quality Management?
Each Module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and can be processed separately. At the end of each Module, knowledge can be assessed with a quiz. After completing all Modules, a certificate of completion can be earned.
