Meet the Speaker : Dr. Rabih El Chammay

Dr. Rabih El Chammay is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and global mental health expert and policy advisor. He is the Founder and Director of Lebanon’s UN Award-winning National Mental Health Programme and serves as a Member of the WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Mental Health, Neurological Disorders and Substance Use (STAG-MNS), having served as its Chair from 2022 to 2024. With over two decades of experience in mental health system reform, refugee mental health, and substance use policy, he has collaborated with WHO, UNHCR, UNICEF, and the World Bank, and his work has been published in The Lancet and PLOS Medicine, among others.
